Job summary

ProQR is a Leiden-based biotech company seeking an experienced accounting professional to own the monthly and quarterly close, focusing on revenue and R&D accounting under IFRS.

You will prepare the revenue model, R&D report and payroll accruals, review AP and payroll files for two senior accountants, execute and document SOX controls, and coach the team to continuously improve our processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or similar field.
• 5+ years in a similar role, ideally in biotech or pharma.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and SOX.
• Experience with an ERP, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of Dutch payroll, benefits and wage tax (WBSO, WKR).
• Fluent English. Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the monthly and quarterly close under IFRS, with a focus on revenue and R&D accounting.
• Prepare the revenue model, R&D report and payroll accruals.
• Review the AP, payroll and closing files of two Senior Accountants.
• Execute and document the SOX controls during close.
• Coach the team and drive continuous improvement in processes.
