The University of Amsterdam invites applications for a student assistant to help investigate the private enforcement of the DSA and GDPR. The role supports two research projects: DSA case tracking and APPLIED GDPR analysis, with collaboration across ACT and IViR.

You will contribute to a co-authored academic article and an online expert workshop, while maintaining a shared literature library. The position is a temporary contract of 10 hours per week from 1 November 2026 to 30 June 2027, with a

• Master's student in Law (Information Law or Private Law).
• Strong interest in platform regulation, data protection, collective redress and access to justice.
• Work precisely and systematically, write clearly and concisely.
• Excellent English and reading in at least one other EU language (German, Dutch or French valuable).
• Available for the full contract period and able to work flexibly with the team.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, log and code new DSA private enforcement cases for the DSA case tracker.
• Write and review case summaries for the tracker from judgments and filings.
• Update GDPR case law analysis with recent developments across Europe.
• Support comparison of the two fields for a co-authored article and a blog post.
• Organize an online expert workshop and maintain literature library.
