Job summary

Rijk Zwaan is seeking a Market Development Specialist Crop based in the Netherlands to lead market strategy and portfolio management for Latin America. You will connect markets, products and people across the global horticulture network, translating insights into strategic actions.

You will collaborate with the Strategic Crop Team and local crop organization, driving portfolio development, product introductions and international partnerships while maintaining a strong commercial focus and travel

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in agriculture, e.g., Horticulture or Biology.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, horticulture and/or product management.
• Solid knowledge of vegetable crops.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coordinating the commercial introduction and trial plans per market segment, including sales objectives and forecasts for commercial and pre-commercial varieties.
• Actively gathering market and product insights together with a strong network of crop specialists, contributing to commercial strategies and breeding policies
• Identifying opportunities for new product development
• Advising the Strategic Crop Team on current activities and future directions
• Acting locally as client manager for key accounts
• Leading special local projects that add value across the entire value chain, connecting crop and local organizations
