Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics in Veghel is seeking an L2 PLC Engineer to provide second-line technical support for industrial automation and control systems. You will troubleshoot PLC-related incidents, maintain system reliability, and support production operations under change control.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechatronics, PLC/HMI/SCADA knowledge, and experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation/mechatronics or related field.
Experience with PLC platforms.
Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems.
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
Understanding of electrical control systems and instrumentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
ITIL or service management experience is a plus.
Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide L2 support for PLC-controlled systems.
Diagnose and resolve automation, controls, and communication issues.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
Perform PLC programming modifications and testing under change control procedures.
Troubleshoot industrial networks, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field devices.
Coordinate with TAL teams to minimize downtime.
Maintain technical documentation, backups, and recovery procedures.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
Support upgrades, migrations, and automation projects.
