Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking an L2 PLC Engineer in the Netherlands to provide second-line technical support for industrial automation, troubleshoot PLC incidents, and improve system reliability. You will work closely with TAL teams to minimize downtime and implement approved changes within change control procedures.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Automation fields, PLC, HMI/SCADA knowledge, and experience in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience with PLC platforms.
• Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
• Knowledge of electrical control systems and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for PLC-controlled systems.
• Diagnose and resolve automation, controls, and communication issues.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Perform PLC programming modifications and testing under change control procedures.
• Troubleshoot industrial networks, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field devices.
• Coordinate with TAL teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain technical documentation, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and automation projects.
