Job summary

Jobtailor in the Netherlands is seeking a motivated transport administrator to coordinate international road shipments to and from Portugal and Greece. You will quote, plan routes, process orders in ITMS, and maintain contact with customers and carriers. No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided by a team of five.

Dutch and English communication skills are essential. You will thrive in a fast-paced team; strong numerical sense and geographical awareness help you optimize costs

Responsibilities

• Plan international road transport to/from Portugal and Greece.
• Request quotes, select cost-efficient routes with carriers.
• Process transport orders in ITMS and monitor shipments.
• Maintain regular contact with customers, drivers and carriers.
• Handle admin tasks and transport docs (email/phone).
• Rotate escalation phone and manage incidents after hours.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Planning international road transport to and from Portugal & Greece
• Requesting quotes from carriers and charters, selecting the smartest routes and most cost‑efficient solutions
• Processing transport orders in ITMS (our transport system) and monitoring ongoing shipments
• Maintaining regular contact with customers, drivers, and carriers
• Handling administrative tasks and transport documentation (75% email communication, 25% phone communication)
• Rotating the escalation phone, where you manage incidents outside office hours

• No prior work experience in a similar role is required, you will receive intensive on‑the‑job training from your 5 colleagues
• You are sociable, eager to learn, and open to feedback
• Strong geographical awareness, recognize logical patterns, and are confident with numbers
