Job summary

  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and documentation of system requirements, architectures, and technical specifications for semiconductor products and solutions.
  • Assist in defining system interfaces, functional behavior, and input/output parameters for hardware and software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze customer, business, and technical requirements and translate them into system-level solutions.
  • Participate in system modeling, simulation, prototyping, integration, testing, and validation activities.
  • Identify, analyze, and help resolve system design issues, performance challenges, and integration problems.
  • Contribute to design reviews and technical discussions throughout the product development process.
  • Support the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and engineering tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, applications, verification, and product engineering teams to ensure successful product implementation and delivery.

Job description

As a Junior Systems Engineer at NXP, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and validation of semiconductor-based systems and solutions. Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will support the definition of system requirements, interfaces, and specifications to ensure effective hardware and software integration. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise while participating in the end-to-end product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Basic knowledge of embedded systems, semiconductor technologies, digital design, software development, or system modeling concepts.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, academic project, research, or co-op experience related to systems engineering, embedded systems, hardware design, software development, or semiconductor technologies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Exposure to requirements management, modeling, simulation, verification, or validation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automotive, industrial, IoT, mobile, or edge processing technologies is a plus.
