Job summary

Fairphone is seeking a Junior QA Tester to safeguard quality across our product ecosystem, including Android devices, audio gear, companion apps, and enterprise solutions. You will execute test plans, log defects, and verify fixes under guidance from the QA Team Lead.

You will gain hands-on experience with test automation scripts, device labs, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, sustainability-driven environment in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of QA concepts and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on familiarity with Android OS, mobile apps, and device settings.
• Experience with bug-tracking systems (GitLab, Jira).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test suites on Android smartphones, audio devices, apps, and enterprise software per QA guidelines.
• Log detailed defect reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs.
• Perform functional, UI/UX, and behavioral testing across configurations to verify core user journeys.
• Re-test fixed bugs and execute regression checklists across software builds and hardware changes.
• Run pre-written automated scripts for performance and stress testing as documented.
