Job summary

Newrest Travel Retail Amsterdam is seeking a Junior Procurement Manager to manage purchasing and supply chain for buy-on-board programs of leading airlines. You will learn hands-on sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations while contributing to operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Up to 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related role; internships or entry-level welcome.
Passion for procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in English and Dutch required.
Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Learn and implement sourcing strategies and procurement plans balancing cost, quality and delivery.
Support supplier relationships, negotiations and supply issue resolution.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with guidance from seniors.
Learn procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry standards for compliance.
Assist in tracking KPIs and preparing reports on savings and supplier performance.
