Responsibilities

• Support the Trade Sales Team in executing Trade Finance transactions.

• Work with local Amsterdam colleagues and cross-border teams.
• Handle administrative tasks related to Trade Services transactions (invoicing, reporting).
• Identify synergies within Global Transaction Banking to add client value.
• Perform compliance checks before transactions and obtain approvals.

Junior Officer Trade Services maximum two years experience - Transaction Banking Amsterdam (EN/NL)

Complete fluency in Dutch and English is required for this role!

As Officer Trade Services, you will support the Trade Services team in Amsterdam in executing trade transactions for Dutch, Nordic and Belgian customers.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Support of the Trade Sales Team in executing Trade Finance transactions
• Follow up on client requests and needs, and identify new opportunities
• Close cooperation with Back Office teams in connection with monitoring/handling of client orders and other operational issues
• Close cooperation with all teams within the global Trade Services Network, as well as with all supporting teams at other locations
• Active cooperation with all other local business lines within the Amsterdam Branch
• Managing administrative tasks in connection with Trade Services transactions (invoicing, internal & regulatory reporting etc.)
• Create added value for clients pro-actively identifying synergies within the Global Transaction Banking Business Lines (like cash management or factoring)
• Execute compliance checks before the transactions and obtain upfront compliance approvals before processing a trade transaction

The role requires a strong client service orientation, solid operational and process knowledge, familiarity with regulatory and risk frameworks, analytical and communication skills, and uncompromising professional integrity.

The ideal candidate is an effective team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), and is comfortable working in a cross-border, collaborative environment.

• Previous experience in Finance or Banking would be appreciated.

Technical and operational skills required:

• Good knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
• Proven experience with trade finance products (letters of credit, guarantees,...) would be appreciated

Starting with one year contract, Annual salary Maximum 55k including vacation allowance 8%
