QuantWare is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Delft. You will translate scientific concepts into manufacturable parts, work closely with senior engineers, and grow hands-on design and prototyping skills.

You'll contribute CAD models, assist with prototyping, and learn to verify manufacturability while supporting procurement. This role suits a tinkerer who enjoys hands-on fabrication and collaboration in a fast-moving quantum hardware environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous internship in a mechanical engineering role.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, OnShape).
• Hands-on tinkering mindset and hands-on fabrication interest.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings from designs.
• Develop components from scientists' concepts and manage procurement.
• Support prototyping with 3D printing and small-scale machining.
• Collaborate within a small team and take ownership of tasks.
