Job summary

Avular, based in Eindhoven, seeks a Junior Grants Manager to drive funding collaborations across Europe. You will identify opportunities, assemble consortia, and write proposals, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

You will liaise with sales and development teams, manage content and administration, and represent Avular at project events, contributing to the success of robotics innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business field.
• At least 2 years of experience writing grant proposals.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong writer able to translate technical innovations into clear text.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Independent worker, but a team player.
• Hands-on experience with schemes such as WBSO, MIT, Horizon Europe or Eurostars.

Responsibilities

• Maintain our network within the innovation landscape, in the region and beyond, in close collaboration with our sales team.
• Set up collaborations with new and existing partners that qualify for funding. Sometimes we take the lead; sometimes we join existing consortia
• Write new project proposals, or parts of them, based on information you gather from knowledge holders inside and outside the organisation
• Keep oversight of and manage projects, both in terms of content and administration
• Prepare progress reports and final cost statements for the projects under your responsibility, including support during any (auditor) review
• Act as the first point of contact for collaboration partners and represent Avular at project events and meetings

Location: Eindhoven (Strijp-T) | Hours: 40 hours per week | Employment type: Direct employment

We are looking for a Junior Grants Manager to join our team.

Avular takes part in many (inter)national R&D projects in which leading research institutes and companies work together on the innovations of tomorrow. The EU and the Dutch government co-fund these projects through grants. As Junior Grants Manager, you will work on exactly these projects. At the front end, you build networks in the region and beyond to find interesting projects and partners, identify the right funding schemes and take care of the application. At the back end, you make sure the projects are delivered well. You are the spider in the web. Together with our sales and development teams, you help turn tomorrow's innovations into reality.

YOUR MISSION

WHO YOU ARE

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business-oriented field
• You have at least 2 years of experience writing grant proposals, for example at a subsidy consultancy or in an innovation funding role
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• You are a strong writer, especially at translating technical innovations into clear text for a broader audience
• You have excellent communication and analytical skills
• You work independently, but you are also a team player
• Hands-on experience with schemes such as WBSO, MIT, Horizon Europe or Eurostars is a plus, but not a must. We are looking above all for talent and drive.
