Job summary

STX Group is seeking a Junior Trade Operations Specialist in Amsterdam to support the coordination of truck and container movements for biofuels, feedstocks and related products from planning through to delivery.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues and gradually expand responsibilities to barges, vessels, rail and pipelines, building a broad understanding of physical commodity logistics and trade operations.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1–2 years of relevant logistics or trade operations experience.
• Completed vocational or higher education in logistics, supply chain, business or related field.
• Interest in physical logistics and international commodity trading; Incoterms knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken, with proactive communication.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working with systems, data and operational documentation; willingness to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor truck and container movements for biofuels and related products.
• Prepare transport instructions and communicate with transport companies, terminals, warehouses, surveyors, agents and counterparties.
• Process operational orders and coordinate invoicing of logistics service providers.
• Maintain transaction, movement, inventory and documentation records in the relevant systems and files.
• Proactively monitor deliveries, address delays or discrepancies, and keep traders informed.
• Develop towards managing barges, vessels, rail and pipeline movements.
