Job summary

Congress by design is seeking a Junior Account Manager to explore the international congress market and turn opportunities into concrete proposals. You will work with our Account Manager to expand our network and win new projects.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, curiosity, and a structured work approach, with responsibilities spanning mapping associations, analyzing bid procedures, and preparing acquisition materials.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in account management, consultancy or business development.
• Experience in or knowledge of the international congress and association market is a plus.
• Analytical thinking and ability to see connections.
• Structured worker with ability to manage complex information.

Responsibilities

• Map international associations and congress structures.
• Analyse rotation schedules, bid procedures, and decision-making processes.
• Identify opportunities for future congresses (often several years ahead).
• Support acquisition processes and preparing client meetings.
• Build and maintain initial contacts with associations and stakeholders.
• Contribute to bids, proposals, and presentations.
• Structure and manage market information and leads (CRM).
• Support the Account Manager in developing relationships and ongoing projects.
