Job summary

Unique zoekt een junior flavorist assistant die bijdraagt aan de creatie van unieke smaaksensaties. Je werkt nauw samen met het team aan de ontwikkeling van smaakformules, beheert grondstoffen en voert basale analyses uit in een internationale omgeving te Hilversum.

De rol is fulltime (40 uur) met maandelijkse salariëring en een tijdelijke 6-maanden aanstelling als maternity leave vervanging. Ervaring in een lab is een pré en Engelse taalvaardigheid is vereist.

Qualifications

• MBO-diploma in laboratoriumtechnologie, scheikunde of voedingsmiddelentechnologie is een pré.
• Ervaring in een laboratorium is gewenst.
• Goede beheersing van Engels, schriftelijk en mondeling.
• Sterke organisatorische vaardigheden en nauwkeurigheid.
• Interesse in smaakontwikkeling en leergierigheid.

Responsibilities

• Nauwkeurig wegen en mengen van vloeibare en/of poedervormige grondstoffen om smaakformules te creëren.
• Data systematisch documenteren van formule-gegevens.
• Voorraadbeheer van grondstoffen en beheer van bestellingen/voorraadwijzigingen in het systeem.
• Uitvoeren van basale analyses met kalibratieapparatuur en veilige laboratoriumpraktijken.
• Ondersteunen van de laborganisatie en zorgen voor efficiënte workflows en proeverijen.

As a junior flavorist assistant, you will contribute to the creation of unique taste experiences by working closely with their culinary flavorist team. Your role involves supporting the development of flavor formulas, managing raw materials, and conducting basic analyses. In this dynamic environment, precision, organization, and teamwork are key to success. With your attention to detail and passion for flavor creation, you will play an integral part in ensuring smooth lab operations and delivering high-quality results.

What You Will Do

• Compounding: accurately weigh and combine liquid and/or powdered raw materials to create flavor formulas.
• Recording: systematically and precisely document data related to the composed formulas.
• Inventory management: manage raw materials, including ordering and processing inventory changes in the system.
• Conducting analyses: use calibration equipment to perform basic analytical tests and ensure accurate results.
• Lab organization: support efficient workflows by managing lab and office spaces and organizing team tastings.
