Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Junior Software (Emulation) Engineer to design, develop and maintain emulation models of automated logistics systems. You will translate requirements into software, create digital twins, and model transportation, sortation and storage equipment while integrating with external systems.

You will work with an international team in a dynamic, technology-driven environment, focusing on scalable, realistic simulations and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of software development experience.
• Interest in software modelling, system behaviour and complex challenges.
• Affinity with graph-based structures, 3D emulation or simulation models.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, TFS or similar source control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain emulation software and simulation models.
• Translate business requirements into functional software solutions.
• Create digital representations of automated logistic systems and processes.
• Develop software that models transportation, sortation and storage equipment.
• Integrate communication with external systems, reporting tools and data analysis capabilities.
• Continuously improve software quality, performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with international teams and Vanderlande stakeholders.
