Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking an Embedded C/C++ Emulation Engineer to join our advanced automated sorting systems.

You will work at the interface of software, controls, emulation and mechatronics, developing embedded features and extending simulators and digital twins. The role requires a Bachelor or Master in a relevant field, strong Embedded C/C++ experience, Linux/networking, Python scripting, and a DevOps mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a technical field such as Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• Strong Embedded C/C++ experience with Linux, preferably real-time Linux.
• Experience with industrial networks like Ethernet/IP/CIP.
• Proficient in Python scripting and DevOps practices for CI/CD.
• Experience with digital twins, emulators, or automated test pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software solutions aligned with the controls roadmap.
• Build, stabilize, and maintain automation pipelines and release governance.
• Extend simulators and digital twins integrated with CI/CD for testing.
• Automate deployments across multiple systems with code reviews and tests.
• Establish technical standards and improve developer experience.
• Travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities and project sites.
