Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Junior Software Engineer Emulation to join the Digital Twin Suite. You will design, develop and maintain emulation models that simulate automated logistics systems, enabling validation and optimization before deployment.

You will work with a global team, translate concepts into software, and push for high quality and performance while keeping models scalable and understandable. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to grow in a cutting-edge, international

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 0-3 years of software development experience.
• Strong interest in software modelling, system behaviour and complex technical challenges.
• Affinity with graph-based structures (nodes and edges), 3D emulation or simulation models.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, TFS or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain emulation software and simulation models.
• Translate business requirements and abstract concepts into functional software solutions.
• Create digital representations of automated logistic systems and processes.
• Develop software that models transportation, sortation and storage equipment.
• Integrate communication with external systems, reporting tools and data analysis capabilities.
• Continuously improve software quality, performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders across Vanderlande.
