Churned in Amsterdam is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our product and data team. You will help build data infrastructure powering our predictive and prescriptive AI engine and work closely with Data Scientists.

The role focuses on data pipelines, integrations with client systems, and deploying production-grade data solutions on GCP. You will collaborate with a growing team, own parts of the data platform, and thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment next to Amstel Station.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent.
• About 2 years of experience as Data/Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Hands-on with Git, Docker and REST APIs.
• Experience building data pipelines in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Apache Spark is a plus.
• Proactive, independent, ownership mindset.
• Fluent in English.
• Living in/near Amsterdam within 30 minutes of Amstel Station.

Churned is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our product and data team. Do you have a couple of years of experience and want to work in an innovative AI tech environment? Join us and help build the data infrastructure that powers our predictive and prescriptive AI engine. This role is based at our office in Amsterdam.

This is what you like doing

You will join the DevOps and Data Engineering team and take ownership of key parts of Churned’s data infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining integrations with client systems, such as CRM, billing and marketing tools and data warehouses
• Developing and optimising our data platform and infrastructure
• Working closely with our Data Scientists to deploy models and keep them running reliably in production
• Structuring and modelling data for analytical and reporting needs
• Improving our in-house data processing platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Monitoring data quality and pipeline performance, and fixing issues when they come up

You recognise yourself in this

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Around 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Hands‑on experience with Git, Docker and REST APIs
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP
• Experience with Apache Spark is a plus
• Proactive, able to work independently and happy to take ownership
• Fluent in English
• Living in or near Amsterdam, within 30 minutes travel of our office at Amstel Station
