Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking an Internal Audit Junior Data Analyst to join the team in Hoofddorp. You will support fraud detection, analyze large datasets, and develop data-driven audit tools in collaboration with the Internal Audit Director.

The role offers a hybrid setup with 1–2 days remote per week and about 20% travel. A background in data analytics, SAP/R3, and visualization with Power BI is preferred, along with strong communication and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data analytics, engineering, statistics, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics within a business environment.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas, pivot tables and data modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
• Familiarity with data analytics and preparation tools, preferably Caseware IDEA.
• Knowledge of SAP R/3 and HANA.
• Knowledge of DBMS including SQL, MySQL and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Audit Process Improvement: identify data requirements and develop data-driven audit improvements.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: analyze large datasets to identify fraud, trends and risks.
• Data Visualization: create dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Data Extraction and Processing: extract data from systems and prepare for analysis.
• Audit Data Analytics: develop analytics models to identify risks and opportunities.
• Data Governance: ensure data quality and data integrity.
• Training and Support: train audit team and hotel staff on controls and fraud topics.
• Staying Up to Date with Industry Trends: apply best practices to improve audits.
