Job summary

JD.com is offering the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program in Rotterdam, Netherlands, designed to give early‑career talent hands-on exposure to real projects and growth opportunities. Over 3-6 months, you’ll work with experienced teams to build fundamental skills and gain insights into a global business.

You’ll assist Category Managers, conduct market research, manage product lifecycles, and collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and supply chain to drive category initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or related industry; internships valued.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow in e-commerce.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms; basic retail merchandising is a plus.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese is a significant advantage for global ops.

• Support product lifecycle management from new product introduction to end-of-life, including SKU creation.

• Monitor KPIs and sales data, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
• Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders with performance summaries.
• Assist in managing vendor relationships, including communication, orders, and invoices.
• Support promotional activities and campaigns with timely execution and accurate product information.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, merchandising, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales data, providing insights and recommendations for category optimization.
• Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing performance and strategic recommendations.
• Assist in managing vendor relationships, including communication, order tracking, and invoice processing.
• Support promotional activities and campaigns, ensuring timely execution and accurate product information.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or a related industry; internships are highly valued.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow within the e-commerce industry.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and basic understanding of retail merchandising principles is a plus.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a significant advantage due to the company's global operations.
