Job summary

A2G Consulting BV (A2G Technologies) in Amsterdam seeks a Java DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on deploying Java applications, maintaining Linux environments, and building robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline releases.

You will work with JBoss, SVN, Maven, Ansible, and Splunk, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate across development, infrastructure, and operations to improve reliability and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with Java deployment and production support.
• Understanding of DevOps principles, release management, and deployment automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Java-based applications in Linux environments.
• Manage and maintain JBoss application servers, including deployments and configuration.
• Manage source code repositories using SVN and build automation using Maven.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline build and deployment processes.
• Write and maintain shell scripts to automate operational tasks.
• Implement configuration management and infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Monitor application logs, performance, and system health using Splunk.
• Troubleshoot application and deployment issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve application reliability and deployment efficiency.
• Follow DevOps best practices to enhance automation, release management, and operational stability.
