Your mission

Looking to start your IT career in the Netherlands as a refugee? The Motopp IT Traineeship offers a 6-month program with training and mentorship, preparing you for full-time roles at top companies like ABN AMRO, PwC, Nationale Postcode Loterij, and others.

Start your IT-career with Motopp

Over six months, you will prepare with eleven other trainees for a career in the Dutch IT sector through technical training, cultural insights, and soft skills workshops. You will learn software development, workplace culture in the Netherlands, and participate in sessions on presentation, assertiveness, and teamwork. The traineeship is full-time and conducted in English.

After training, you will be placed in a role with one of our partner companies. We will continue supporting you with coaching, evaluations, and workshops for 18 months.

Step-by-Step Program

1. Basic Training (2 weeks): Dutch work culture, communication, presentation skills, CV building, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
2. IT Bootcamp (12 weeks): Modules include Business IT, Back-end Development, and IT Principles, focusing on technical skills and role exploration.
3. Internal Internship (12 weeks): Apply your knowledge in a Dutch Agile environment, work on applications, and receive feedback.
4. Career Placement: Match with a role such as software developer, system administrator, or business analyst, with ongoing support.

Starting date

The traineeship begins on June 23rd. Applications close on May 7th. Final selections are communicated one month before start.

Practical Information

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30
• Hybrid: approx. two days/week at our Amsterdam office, others remote
• Costs covered: training, travel expenses, and a laptop if needed

Your Profile

• Refugee background with Dutch residence permit

• Interest or experience in IT
• HBO level education (equivalent to a bachelor's)
• Strong communication, analytical skills, eagerness to learn
