Job summary

Motopp invites you to join its IT Traineeship in the Netherlands. Over 27 weeks, you will receive technical IT training, mentorship, and exposure to Dutch work culture, working in English.

The program is full-time with hybrid office presence in Amsterdam and remote days. After completing training, mediation leads to paid roles with partner companies for 18 months, with ongoing coaching and workshops to grow in your IT career.

Your mission

Looking to start your IT career in the Netherlands as a refugee? The Motopp IT Traineeship offers a 6-month program with training and mentorship, preparing you for full‑time roles at top companies like PwC, Rabobank, Alliander, Achmea and many others.

Start your IT-career with Motopp

Over the course of 27 weeks, you will prepare, together with eleven other trainees, for a career in the Dutch IT sector. How? Through a combination of technical IT skills training, insights into Dutch work culture, and workshops to develop essential soft skills. You will learn software development, gain an understanding of how the workplace operates in the Netherlands, and participate in sessions on topics such as presenting, assertiveness, and teamwork. The traineeship is fulltime and conducted in English. After completing the training, we will start mediation towards a paid job at one of our partner companies across the country. If we find a match, for the next 18 months we will continue to support you with personal coaching sessions, evaluations, and additional workshops.

Step‑by‑Step Program

• IT Bootcamp (14 weeks): Trainees develop technical skills and explore their ideal IT role. Topics covered are: Project Management, Requirements Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Back‑end Development (Python, FastAPI), Testing, Cloud Computing, Software Testing, Information Security, Data analysis.


• Internal Internship (13 weeks): Apply your knowledge in a simulated Dutch Agile work environment at Motopp, work on applications in Sprints, and receive feedback from trainers and mentors.


• Professional skills: Learn about Dutch work culture, communication, presentation techniques, CV building, and get introduced to Agile/Scrum methodologies.


• Career: We do not offer a 100% job guarantee, but we do offer 100% job intention. Once you're ready to start working, you'll be matched with a position that aligns with your experience and skills, such as a software developer, system administrator, or business analyst. During the first 18 months, you’ll get ongoing support with personal coaching, regular feedback, and workshops to help you keep growing in your role.

Starting date

The traineeship starts on the 9th of November 2026. Applicants are informed about the final selection no later than 1,5 week before the start of the traineeship.

Practical information

• Full-time: Monday to Friday, from 09:00-17:30.


• Hybrid: An average of two days a week at our office in Amsterdam, the other days from home.


• Cost‑free: Training costs are covered, as well as travel expenses and a laptop if needed.

Your profile

• A refugee background with a Dutch residence permit.


• English language proficiency at level B2.


• Experience with or strong and proven affinity with IT.


• Completed education at HBO level (equivalent to a bachelor's degree).


• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and eagerness to learn.


• Fulltime available, 5 days per week for 27 weeks.
