RedCarpet is looking for an IT Technology Subject Matter Expert (Tech SME)

As an IT Technology Subject Matter Expert, you will play a crucial role within the Bank's Resilience Project Team. You will lead resilience assessment workshops with resilience SMEs and DevOps teams, ensuring that systems and applications meet the highest standards of resilience and security.

In this role, you will analyze various IT landscapes and technology stacks, assess the current security posture, and identify threats and risks. You will work closely with engineers, architects, technical experts, and DevOps teams, demonstrating deep expertise in system architecture, platform knowledge, networking, storage, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead resilience assessment workshops with DevOps teams and resilience experts.
• Analyze and assess systems and applications for vulnerabilities and risks.
• Understand current cyber threats and the technical aspects of attacks (TTPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DevOps teams during workshops.
• Interpret and challenge existing architecture and components to define recovery solutions and detailed scenarios.
• Actively contribute to enhancing resilience within a complex, dynamic IT environment.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, servers, storage, networking, databases, and cloud technologies (preferably Azure).
• Experience in assessing systems and applications with a focus on risk management.
• Deep understanding of system design principles, including scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid architectures.
• Understanding of network design, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage, and middleware.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data management solutions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IT architect or in a similar role within complex IT projects.
• Medior to senior level with 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the banking sector.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, change, and configuration management.
• Experience in disaster recovery and developing recovery plans.
• Experience with threat modeling.
