Job summary

Jumbo Maritime in Schiedam is seeking an IT Support Engineer to ensure reliable ICT services for colleagues worldwide, whether in the Schiedam office or on the move.

You will provide day-to-day end-user support, maintain documentation, and collaborate with external suppliers in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• MBO degree in ICT or a comparable technical qualification.
• Relevant work experience may compensate for formal education.

• Good technical knowledge of ICT infrastructure, workplace services and user support.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper functioning of ICT services within the Schiedam office.
• Provide timely and professional support to end users.
• Incorporate Jumbo’s safety culture and policies into daily activities.
• Maintain and improve ICT documentation, processes, procedures and configuration information.
• Act as the operational point of contact for external IT service providers and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes and working methods and provide recommendations.
• Provisioning, maintaining and supporting workplace equipment such as laptops, docking stations, monitors and peripherals.
• Performing technical onboarding and offboarding of employees.
• Maintaining accurate CMDB registrations and asset administration.
• Managing IT equipment inventory and lifecycle processes.
• Administering telephony systems and user accounts.
• Maintaining and supporting video conferencing equipment and meeting room technology.
• Providing regular updates to users and stakeholders regarding support requests and incidents.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
