Job summary

Impala Terminals Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Product Owner to define, prioritize and deliver business and system requirements for the Terminal Operating System (TOS).

You’ll bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to align the product roadmap with operational needs and compliance, driving improvement and user adoption. You will own the backlog, translate needs into user stories, oversee delivery of features, and coordinate with IT, operations and external partners to ensure value creation

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Experience with ERP / HRIS / CRM / TMS / WMS / Finance Systems / etc.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with backlog management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Job description

Main Purpose:

We are looking for a Product Owner who will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering business and system requirements for Terminal Operating System (TOS), including interfaces to other applications. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, the Product Owner ensures that the product roadmap aligns with operational needs, business strategy, compliance requirements, and user expectations. The role drives continuous improvement, system optimization, and user adoption while ensuring efficient delivery of features and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for the TOS, including backlog grooming and prioritization in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and functional requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between operational processes and system capabilities.
  • Incorporate non-functional requirements and technical debt (performance, security).
  • Act as the main point of contact for all functional aspects of the system.
  • Monitor the service level agreement KPI’s of the solution to ensure it performs as agreed
  • Stakeholder Management Collaborate with business teams, IT, vendors, and external partners.
  • Gather and challenge business requirements to ensure value creation.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and user feedback discussions.
  • Communicate priorities, timelines, risks, and delivery status to stakeholders.
  • Project & Delivery Management Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and retrospectives.
  • Prioritize enhancements, incidents, and change requests ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Coordinate testing activities and validate delivered functionalities.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new features and releases.
  • Process Improvement & Governance Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
  • Ensure system compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain system documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • User Support & Adoption Support end users and key users on functional matters.
  • Coordinate training sessions and communication plans.
  • Promote user adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Functional Lead, or similar role.
  • Experience working with [ERP / HRIS / CRM / TMS / WMS / Finance Systems / etc.].
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
