Job summary

Cornell Search in Amsterdam seeks an entrepreneurial Investor Relations professional to build investor relationships and scale fundraising for a growing European investment platform.

You will originate and manage relationships with European family offices, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and institutional allocators, coordinating due diligence and helping convert opportunities into commitments while expanding the network and organizing events.

Qualifications

• Experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital formation or related fields.
• Experience engaging private markets investors through the fundraising process from first contact to due diligence and closing.
• Strong financial literacy and investment acumen to understand and discuss complex strategies.
• Genuine interest in sports and technology with curiosity about market opportunities and trends.

Responsibilities

• Identify and map prospective investors, focusing on European family offices, entrepreneurs, HNWIs and institutional allocators.
• Own investor relationships from introduction through due diligence and closing.
• Proactively manage follow-ups and help convert opportunities into commitments.
• Develop and expand the firm’s network across European markets and engage advisers and founders.
• Support investor events and networking with effective post-event follow-up.

Led by an experienced team of investors and entrepreneurs, the firm is building a differentiated investment platform with significant international growth ambitions.

Position Overview

The firm are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Investor Relations professional to play a pivotal role in developing investor relationships and scaling the firm's fundraising capabilities.

The role is based in Amsterdam and offers significant autonomy, senior-level exposure and the opportunity to grow alongside the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Investor Origination: Identify, map and develop relationships with prospective investors, particularly European family offices, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and institutional allocators.
• Relationship Management: Take ownership of prospective investor relationships, managing engagement from initial introductions through to due diligence and closing.
• Fundraising Execution: Proactively manage investor follow-ups, understand investor requirements and decision-making processes, and help convert prospective opportunities into commitments.
• Network Development: Leverage the firm's existing network of investors, founders and advisers, alongside developing new relationships across relevant European markets.
• Events & Networking: Support the organisation of investor events and networking initiatives, ensuring effective follow-up and continued relationship development.

Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital formation or investor coverage within private equity, venture capital, growth equity, placement agents, alternative investment platforms, private banking or family-office coverage.
• Experience engaging private markets investors, with a sound understanding of the fundraising process from initial engagement through to diligence and closing.
• Strong financial literacy and investment acumen, with the ability to understand and confidently communicate complex investment strategies.
• A genuine interest in sports and technology, with the intellectual curiosity to understand emerging investment opportunities and evolving industry trends.
