Job summary

EDGE Amsterdam is seeking an Investment Intern to join the Investment Team and support underwriting, due diligence, reporting, and market research. You will work on financial models, data gathering, and presentations for ongoing projects and potential joint ventures.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed degrees in Business Economics, Business Administration, or Real Estate, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Currently completing or recently completed a degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Strong interest in real estate, investments, and financial analysis; deal-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, networking and presentation skills (Dutch and English)
• Highly proficient in Excel, strong working knowledge of PowerPoint
• Able to cope with time pressure and work in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Underwriting: assist the team when analyzing new investment and development opportunities by setting up financial models.
• Transaction activities: assist deal teams with conducting property and market due diligence
• Internal and External Reporting: assist in preparing business plans and quarterly reporting and memoranda for stakeholders
• Overall support: assist in day-to-day tasks including creating presentations, Excel spreadsheets, market research, etc.

You will be part of our Investment Team that contribute to our growth in new business opportunities in The Netherlands. The team is responsible for acquiring new sites/assets, disposition of our projects, equity raising and setting up joint ventures or other types of partnerships.

As an Investment Intern, your will assist the Investment team with:

• Underwriting: assist the team when analyzing new investment and development opportunities by setting up financial models. Partner with commercial and development team members to collect the right input.
• Transaction activities: assist deal teams with conducting property and market due diligence
• Internal and External Reporting: work collaboratively with colleagues to support the preparation of business plans and (quarterly) reporting. Assist on the preparation of investment committee memoranda for both internal as external stakeholders.
• Overall support: Assist in the day-to-day tasks of the team including the creation of presentations, excel spreadsheets, market research, etc. on an ad hoc basis.
• Currently completing or recently completed a degree in (Business) Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
• Strong interest in real estate, investments, and financial analysis; Deal-oriented approach and strong work ethic
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, networking and presentation skills (Dutch and English)
• Highly proficient in Excel, strong working knowledge of PowerPoint
• Able to cope with time pressure and work in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
