Job summary

Rockstart in Copenhagen is seeking an experienced Associate to help manage a portfolio of 70+ startups and oversee investment and exit processes within our EUR 16m impact fund focused on Agriculture and Food.

You will collaborate with an international team, drive due diligence, data collection for investor reporting, and support deal execution across multiple stages while maintaining high standards of process and communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience with VC (or related) transactions.
• Well-developed social and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter personality; delivers and gets stuff done.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Passion for early stage startups, with a desire to excel in VC.

Responsibilities

• Being the first point of contact for portfolio startups and representing Rockstart in shareholders' meetings.
• Analysis of investment rounds from valuation and returns perspective.
• Collecting data for the investor reporting.
• Updating our startup/portfolio database.
• Business development assessments.
• Manage investors' requests.
• Running ongoing and new investment processes, including due diligence, contract negotiations and presentations to the Investment Committee.

About the role

Rockstart is an early stage investor that empowers purpose-driven founders across three domains: Energy, AgriFood, and Emerging Technologies. You will work alongside our experienced international team to monitor a portfolio of 70+ startups, to manage investment & exit processes of those startups and to be part of a EUR 16m impact fund focused on Agriculture and Food. Key Responsibilities:

• General responsibilities:

  • Being the first point of contact for portfolio startups and representing Rockstart in shareholders' meetings

  • Analysis of investment rounds from valuation and returns perspective

  • Collecting data for the investor reporting

  • Updating our startup/portfolio database

  • Business development assessments

  • Manage investors' requests

• Agrifood fund responsibilities:

  • Running ongoing and new investment processes, including due diligence, contract negotiations and presentations to the Investment Committee

  • Managing and reporting on the portfolio

  • Actively engaging with portfolio startups and initiatives

Your skills and experience:

• 3+ years of relevant experience working with demonstrable VC (or related) transactions

• Well-developed social and interpersonal skills.

• Self-starter personality; delivers and gets stuff done

• Strong analytical skills.

• Passion for early stage startups, with a desire to excel in the fields of venture capital

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.

• Strong Danish/Nordics network, with an angle in agrifood ventures and sustainability.

Bonus points:

A masters degree in business, finance or economics or stellar commercial entrepreneurial experience building a VC-backed startup.
