Job summary

KION Group is seeking a Solution Designer to grow our intralogistics automation business across EMEA. You will provide technical expertise, design tailored solutions, and support the sales team with compelling concepts and presentations.

Deliver detailed designs for AS/RS, AGVs/AMRs, conveyors and picking systems, while coordinating with engineering, service, and partners to ensure smooth project execution and long-term support.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science or related technical field.
• Proven experience in solution design, system integration, or technical consulting within automation or intralogistics.
• Strong CAD and simulation tool proficiency, with ability to convey technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and design tailored intralogistics solutions considering throughput, space, budget, and integration needs.
• Consult with customers and internal teams to design feasible, cost-effective solutions aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with sales to develop winning intralogistics concepts and presentations.
• Coordinate technical details with engineering, project management and service teams for successful delivery.
• Develop detailed technical documentation, layouts, equipment specs and system architectures.
