Job summary

KION Group AG seeks a Solution Designer to drive intralogistics automation solutions across EMEA. You will analyze customer needs, design feasible and cost-effective AS/RS, AGV/AMR, and conveyor systems, and collaborate with sales and engineering to deliver winning concepts.

You will build technical documentation, maintain industry knowledge, and travel within the region. Fluency in English and Dutch is preferred, with German a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or related technical field.
• Proven experience in solution design, system integration, or technical consulting in automation or intralogistics.
• Strong network in intralogistics automation market is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of AS/RS, AGVs/AMRs, shuttle solutions, conveyors, picking systems and warehouse environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to assess customer needs and develop optimal solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and create tailored intralogistics automation solutions considering throughput, space, budget, and integration needs.
• Consult with customers and internal teams to design feasible, cost-effective solutions aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with sales to understand requirements and develop winning solution concepts.
• Coordinate technical details with engineering, project management, service, and external partners.
• Develop detailed technical documentation, including layouts, equipment specs, and system architectures.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve solutions.
