Job summary

Van Oord in Rotterdam offers a PowerBI internship within Finance & Control, turning business needs into data-driven dashboards and insights. You will build dashboards, support Power BI pipelines and data models, and collaborate to understand information needs across teams.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in an international environment while developing Power BI and analytical skills with guidance from experienced colleagues and a buddy.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Information Management, Business IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• Available for an internship starting in September 2026.
• Experience with PowerBI, data modelling and dashboard development.
• Enjoy working with systems, data flows and turning data into insights.
• English communication fluently, both spoken and written.
• Live and study in the Netherlands.

Job description

Within Finance & Control, you will join the Information & Support Services team, specifically the Business Analysis & Data Services team. This team is responsible for capturing end-user requirements and translating business needs into data-driven solutions, including Master Data Management, BI reporting, insights and process automation.

As a PowerBI intern, your focus will be on the reporting and visualisation side. You will help build and improve dashboards, support Power BI pipelines and data models, and work with colleagues to understand their information needs. In this way, you will contribute to solutions that make data more accessible, useful and actionable across Van Oord.

You are curious, analytical and eager to learn how data and technology can improve systems, processes and decision making.

• You are currently studying Information Management, Business IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
• You are available for an internship starting in September 2026
• You have experience with PowerBI, data modelling and dashboard development
• You enjoy working with systems, data flows and turning data into insights
• You communicate confidently in English, both spoken and written
• You live and study in the Netherlands
