About

In the position of Camelia & In Room Dining trainee you will have the opportunity to work backstage in the largest F&B hotel in the Netherlands. Amongst other tasks, you are responsible for advising and guiding guests and offering service on a very high level. In this internship, you will be able to learn about all aspects of the F&B department. Your main tasks will be:

• Operational tasks, such as advising guests with regards to menu’s, serving dishes and serving our guests during their stay in Hotel Okura Amsterdam based on the standards set by the hotel (align with Standards of Leading Hotels of the World);
• Maintaining excellent contact with guests;
• Performing Mise and Place activities;
• Following guidelines with regards to safety, Arbo, hygiene and HACCP;
• Working in a high level multicultural environment.

The traineeship shifts will be from Monday to Sunday, with rotating shifts such as: 06:00 - 14:00, 07:00 - 15:00 or 15:00 - 23:00. You work 5 days a week, 7,6 hours a day. You are also available to work on public holidays. It is possible to work on your thesis or any assigned school tasks once a week.

• Contract: Trainee contract, minimum of 6 months
• Salary: We offer a trainee compensation of €750 euros per month, based on a fulltime traineeship
• Holidays: With an internship agreement of 6 months, you will receive 1 day off per month

What are we asking?

• You are a student at one of the (hotel) schools in the Netherlands;
• You are guest orientated, representable and have an eye for detail;
• You are flexible in regards to your work schedule;
• You live in Amsterdam or surroundings;
• You have a passion for hospitality and would like to develop further in this industry;
• You are fluent in Dutch and/or English (oral and written).
