ING is offering a Risk Analytics internship focused on Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) and ALM. You will join a global team analyzing customer behaviour for retail products like mortgages and savings, supporting risk management decisions across ING countries.

This internship places you at the heart of ING's Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) activities. You will support a global team that develops and analyses behavioural models for products such as mortgages and savings accounts-impacting how ING manages interest rate and liquidity risks for more than 40 million customers worldwide.
You will work in an international environment, collaborating with colleagues across Europe, Asia, and Australia, and gaining hands‑on exposure to financial risk management in practice.
Work with model development teams, Model Validation, Group Treasury, and local risk teams.
Contribute to preparing materials for discussions with stakeholders across the globe.
Translate analytical results into clear and concise summaries.
Participate in high‑impact risk analysis
A motivated student who wants to learn, contribute, and grow.
You are currently studying economics, econometrics, mathematics, physics, data science, or related fields.
Interest in financial risk, modelling, treasury or banking.
Experience with Python, data analysis, or visualization tools is a plus.
You are curious and proactive in asking questions.
You enjoy analytical work and problem‑solving.
You can communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
You enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
