Job summary

TNO offers an internship in data-efficient computer vision with limited labelled data, impacting real-world infrastructure and built environment projects. You will explore self-supervised learning, few-shot learning, foundation models, and vision-language models as part of a guided research project.

You will work on one of three topics, gain Python-based AI development experience, and contribute to applied solutions with societal impact, under supervision within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Seeking students in AI, CS, Data Science, Robotics with ML/CV interest.
• Basic Python and some ML frameworks experience; PyTorch or TensorFlow preferred.
• Interest in representation learning, foundation models, or video understanding.
• Internship duration 6–9 months; Dutch language not required.

Responsibilities

• Research data-efficient CV methods from limited labelled data.
• Define project topic, develop prototype and research report.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team on applied AI solutions with societal impact.
