Code for Good in Eindhoven seeks a Data Scientist to turn raw data into validated models across images, sensor data, and text. You will define problems with stakeholders, explore data, design experiments, and build robust models for production use.

We value hands-on CV experience (detection, classification, segmentation, tracking), solid Python skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams. Office-based role in Eindhoven with strong impact.

Qualifications

• A few years applying data science and ML to real‑world problems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/DS/Statistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong statistics and ML fundamentals with practical judgment.
• Hands-on CV experience with object detection, segmentation, tracking, etc.

Responsibilities

• Frame business problems as data science tasks and scope this is approach.
• Build computer vision models for detection, classification, segmentation, tracking.
• Explore data, engineer features, and ensure data quality and labeling.
• Design experiments with metrics and robust evaluation on real data.
• Iterate on models; prefer simple, robust approaches when appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and domain experts.
• Keep experiments reproducible and well documented.
• Stay updated on new techniques and assess their relevance.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
