Job summary

The Landrovers zoekt een enthousiaste student (MBO/HBO) in Automotive Engineering of aanverwante techvelden om te werken aan digitale displays en infotainmentsystemen voor exclusieve voertuigen. Je werkt in een innovatief team waar hardware en software samenkomen en krijgt verantwoordelijkheid in diverse technische projecten.

Tijdens de stage ondersteun je bij flashing van display controllers, debugging in Linux, en het documenteren van specificaties.

Responsibilities

• Flashing en configureren van display controllers en infotainment systemen.
• Ondersteunen bij debugging en testen van software in Linux-omgeving.
• Debuggen van elektronische systemen, inclusief CAN-bus en I/O-signaleringen.
• Ondersteunen bij automatisering van engineering en testprocessen.
• Documenteren van technische specificaties voor digitale instrumenten en displays.
• Onderzoeken en implementeren van voertuigspecifieke features.
• Ondersteunen bij de verdere ontwikkeling van Defender Digital Displays.
• Testen, valideren en documenteren van nieuwe hardware en software functionaliteiten.

During your internship, you'll support our engineers in developing, testing and improving digital displays and infotainment systems for high-end vehicles. Who we are

We are a rapidly growing company specializing in restoring and customizing Land Rover Defenders to the finest detail. Think leather upholstery, powerful V8 engines, special rims, and optimized suspension. We have successfully developed an electric Defender and are always striving to elevate the Defender to a higher level, and we need your help to achieve that.

What we are looking for

We're looking for an enthusiastic MBO or HBO student (or an equivalent vocational or bachelor's programme) in Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field.

You have an interest in automotive electronics, embedded software and infotainment systems, and enjoy working on a variety of technical projects. Experience with the following is a plus, but certainly not required:

• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Basic knowledge of embedded software or microcontrollers.
• Basic knowledge of low-voltage electronics.
• Experience with C/C++.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Good command of the Dutch language.
• Basic command of the English language.

What will you do?

As an intern, you'll become an active member of our engineering team. Depending on your experience and interests, your responsibilities may include:

• Flashing and configuring automotive display controllers and infotainment controllers.
• Supporting the debugging and troubleshooting of software in a Linux environment.
• Debugging electronic systems, including CAN bus and I/O signals.
• Assisting in the automation of engineering and testing processes.
• Collecting and documenting technical specifications for digital instrument clusters and infotainment displays.
• Researching and implementing vehicle-specific features.
• Supporting the continued development of our in-house Defender Digital Displays.
• Testing, validating and documenting new hardware and software functionalities.
