Qualifications

• Interest in risk management, banking, or regulatory environments.

As a Workalong Intern, you will support the development of intelligent agents that CRO NL processes within ING NL. This internship offers hands-on experience in applying advanced data science, AI, and automation techniques to real-world risk challenges in a highly regulated banking environment.

As a Workalong Intern, you will support the development of intelligent agents that CRO NL processes within ING NL. This internship offers hands-on experience in applying advanced data science, AI, and automation techniques to real-world risk challenges in a highly regulated banking environment.

You will work on designing, building, and testing agent-based solutions that support risk identification, monitoring, and reporting processes. This role provides a unique opportunity to bridge data science and risk management while contributing to innovation within the bank.

The team

You will join the one of the teams within the CRO NL domain, based in Amsterdam. CRO NL is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring and managing ING Netherlands’ key risks, while safeguarding regulatory compliance, protecting the bank’s reputation and resilience, and enabling sustainable growth through sound risk management and decision-making.

We are increasingly leveraging advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions, including Co-Pilot agents to improve efficiency, horizon scanning, and control effectiveness. You will collaborate with risk experts in a multidisciplinary, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Master student in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience with machine learning, data analysis, or AI/LLM frameworks
• Experience working with Microsoft Co-Pilot
• Experience with prompt engineering and building agents
• Interest in risk management, banking, or regulatory environments
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
