Job summary

JDE Peet’s Utrecht internship in the Netherlands offers hands-on experience in Safety, Health & Environment, supporting global SHE team to implement and improve the SHE Management System across the organisation.

The role requires EU/EEA student in NL, 6 months, 5 days/week with 4 days in-office and 1 remote; includes €525 monthly allowance, travel compensation, paid holidays and two weeks remote across Europe.

Qualifications

  • Must be part of your studies and contribute credits.
  • EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands during the internship, or a non-EU/EEA student enrolled at a Dutch institution.
  • Internship duration: 6 months.
  • Availability: 5 days per week, 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.
  • Strong English communication and ability to work with deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and follow-up of Global SHE Management System requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining SHE documentation, trackers, templates and tools.
  • Prepare SHE Management System reviews, auditing, meetings and status updates.
  • Collect, organise and analyse information from regions/sites to monitor progress and gaps.
  • Coordinate with Regional and Local SHE teams to ensure alignment and timely actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of SHE processes.

Job Description

Join our team at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in January or February 2027. As aSafety, Health & Environment Management System Intern, you will support the Global Safety, Health and Environment team in the implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of the JDE Peet’s SHE Management System,helping ensure that key requirements, processes and documentation are consistently managed across the organisation.

You willbepart of theGlobal SHEteam, working closely withRegionaland localSHE teams to support governance, document control, performance follow-up and implementation tracking. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a global manufacturing environment and contribute to the development of a structured, simple and effective SHE Management System.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the implementation and follow-up of the Global SHE Management System requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving SHE documentation, trackers, templates, guidance materials and implementation tools.
  • Support the preparation of SHE Management System reviews,SHE Auditing,meetings, presentations and status updates.
  • Help collect, organise and analyse information from regions and sites to monitor progress, gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Support communication and coordination with Regional and Local SHE teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of agreed actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to make SHE processes simpler, clearer and more effective.

For this roleas aSafety, Health & Environment Management System Intern,we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Safety, Health & Environment, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Safety, Health and Environment, management systems, governance and continuous improvement.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to structure information, follow up actions and work with deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, SharePointandPower BI.
  • Proactive, curious and hands-on mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with global and local teams.
  • Commitment: You are available for 6 months, ideally from January or February2027
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely, ensuring a great balance between collaboration and independence.

Academic Requirements

  • Your internship must be part of your studies and contribute to your credits
  • Your educational institution must be willing to sign a cooperation agreement with JDE (and possibly an NDA, depending on the department)
  • You are an EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands during the internship, or a non-EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands and enrolled at a Dutch educational institution
