Job summary

GEA Germany GmbH in ’s-Hertogenbosch seeks an Intern to join the Academy Operations and Excellence team. You will help transform how we deliver learning experiences by developing educational infrastructure and exploring VR/AR and AI-powered solutions for 18,000+ employees and external customers.

You will collaborate with the Sr. L&D Architect, pilot innovative technologies, and help document processes while supporting integration across learning systems. Fluent English required; Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing studies in Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, IT/CS, Business Informatics, or related field.
• Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Interest in learning technologies, educational platforms and knowledge management.
• Ability to collaborate in an international team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn infrastructure architecture for LMS, PS platforms, VR/AR systems, authoring tools, SharePoint, and CoPilot.
• Assist piloting and rollout of VR/AR, Digital Coach, and AI-powered learning solutions.
• Document and standardize processes for new learning platforms and tools.
• Support the integration of learning systems.
• Coordinate between Academy teams, IT and business stakeholders.
• Create documentation and training materials for Academy members.
• Contribute to research on emerging learning technologies and best practices.

Job description

At our location in 's-Hertogenbosch, we are looking for a Intern to join our international GEA Academy Operations and Excellence team as soon as possible. You will play a key role in transforming how we deliver learning experiences across the organization by working on cutting-edge educational infrastructure projects, working closely with our Sr. L&D Architect. As part of our mission to drive Mission 30 through Learning & Growth, you will support the development and optimization of our learning technology ecosystem - from VR/AR solutions to AI-powered performance support systems, helping us bring learning into the flow of work for 18,000+ employees and external customers worldwide.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As Intern you will be working on:

• Learning Infrastructure & Technology Implementation and optimization of our learning infrastructure architecture (e.g. LMS, Performance Support Platforms, VR/AR systems, Authoring tools, SharePoint, MS CoPilot)
• Assist in piloting and rolling out innovative learning technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Digital Coach, and AI-powered learning solutions
• Help document and standardize processes for new learning platforms and tools
• Support the integration of learning systems

Project Support

Support ongoing innovation projects including:

• Assist with project documentation, stakeholder communication, and progress tracking
• Help coordinate between Academy teams, IT, and business stakeholders
• Help create documentation and training materials for Academy team members
• Contribute to research on emerging learning technologies and best practices

Your Profile / Qualifications

You are studying Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, IT/Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field

Technical Skills

• Very good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Experience or strong interest in learning technologies, educational platforms and knowledge management
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or willingness to learn (e.g., Power BI, Excel Analytics)
• Basic understanding of system integrations and digital workflows (advantage)
• Knowledge & Experience Interest in emerging technologies such as VR/AR, AI, or performance support systems
• Understanding of learning theories, instructional design, or adult education principles (advantage)
• Experience with Learning Management Systems or educational platforms (advantage)
• Some knowledge of project management methodologies (advantage)
