Job summary

Gea Group in ’s-Hertogenbosch is seeking an Intern to join the international GEA Academy Operations and Excellence team. You will help transform learning experiences by working on educational infrastructure projects with the Sr. L&D Architect.

You will support learning technology ecosystems from VR/AR solutions to AI-powered performance support, helping 18,000+ employees and external customers worldwide, while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Educational Technology, Learning Sciences or related field.
• Interest in digital learning and educational innovation is essential.
• Familiarity with learning platforms and knowledge management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support learning infrastructure architecture implementations (LMS, VR/AR, authoring tools, SharePoint).
• Assist pilots of new learning technologies and document standard processes.
• Help coordinate between Academy teams, IT and business stakeholders.

At our location in ’s-Hertogenbosch, we are looking for a Intern to join our international GEA Academy Operations and Excellence team as soon as possible. You will play a key role in transforming how we deliver learning experiences across the organization by working on cutting‑edge educational infrastructure projects, working closely with our Sr. L&D Architect.

As part of our mission to drive Mission 30 through Learning & Growth, you will support the development and optimisation of our learning technology ecosystem - from VR/AR solutions to AI‑powered performance support systems, helping us bring learning into the flow of work for 18,000+ employees and external customers worldwide.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As Intern you will be working on:

Learning Infrastructure & Technology

• Implementation and optimisation of our learning infrastructure architecture (e.g. LMS, Performance Support Platforms, VR/AR systems, Authoring tools, SharePoint, MS CoPilot)

• Assist in piloting and rolling out innovative learning technologies including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Digital Coach, and AI‑powered learning solutions

• Help document and standardise processes for new learning platforms and tools

• Support the integration of learning systems

Project Support

• Support ongoing innovation projects including:

• Assist with project documentation, stakeholder communication, and progress tracking

• Help coordinate between Academy teams, IT, and business stakeholders

• Help create documentation and training materials for Academy team members

• Contribute to research on emerging learning technologies and best practices

Your Profile / Qualifications

• You are studying Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, IT/Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field

• You have a strong interest in digital learning, learning experience design, or educational innovation

Technical Skills

• Very good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

• Experience or strong interest in learning technologies, educational platforms and knowledge management

• Familiarity with data analysis tools or willingness to learn (e.g., Power BI, Excel Analytics)

• Basic understanding of system integrations and digital workflows (advantage)

Knowledge & Experience

• Interest in emerging technologies such as VR/AR, AI, or performance support systems

• Understanding of learning theories, instructional design, or adult education principles (advantage)

• Experience with Learning Management Systems or educational platforms (advantage)

• Some knowledge of project management methodologies (advantage)

• You are self‑propelling, a team player, responsible, and with attention to detail

• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities

• You quickly grasp new concepts and enjoy exploring new technologies

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across international teams

Languages

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) - essential

• Dutch language skills are an advantage
