Job summary

The European School The Hague seeks a Teacher of PE to deliver engaging lessons for 11–15-year-olds under the European Baccalaureate framework, fostering inclusivity and well-being.

This temporary, full-time post with a salary between 3,622 and 5,520 euros per month includes Dutch CAO VO benefits, holiday allowance, year-end bonus, travel contributions, ABP pension, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (or equivalent).
• Fully qualified teacher status for secondary education, recognized in the country where the qualification was obtained.
• Dutch DUO standards for teaching qualifications.
• Proficiency in English at a C2 level (CEFR).
• Experience teaching students aged 11–18.
• Living in the Netherlands with a work permit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons to students aged 11-15 following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.
• Collaborate with a team of educators to support a thriving PE program.
• Organize and participate in camps, sports days, and tournaments to fulfill departmental needs.
• Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach and differentiates instruction as needed.
• Support after-school sports teams and contribute to sport-specific development.
