Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer – Pumps in Heteren, Netherlands. The role blends technical pump knowledge with sales acumen to advise customers, select pumps, and prepare quotations while supporting the field sales team.

You will engage with customers to understand needs, tailor solutions, and drive orders. Dutch and English fluency are required; French is a plus. The position offers a permanent, full-time role with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• MBO or HBO qualification in a technical/engineering discipline.
• Strong pump knowledge for industrial applications.
• Experience in a technical-commercial sales role.
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Good organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Dutch and English fluency; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding industrial pumps and pumping solutions.
• Support field-based Sales Engineers with technical and commercial activities.
• Calculate, select, and recommend suitable liquid pumps based on customer requirements and application needs.
• Prepare and develop quotations, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial competitiveness.
• Follow up on quotations and proactively convert opportunities into orders.
• Process customer orders and coordinate activities to ensure smooth delivery.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Work closely with customers, machine builders, and internal teams to develop customised pump solutions.
• Identify opportunities to expand business and improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the sales process.
