Qualifications

• MBO or HBO qualification in a technical/engineering discipline.
• Strong pump knowledge for industrial applications.
• Experience in a technical-commercial sales role.
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Good organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Dutch and English fluency; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding industrial pumps and pumping solutions.
• Support field-based Sales Engineers with technical and commercial activities.
• Calculate, select, and recommend suitable liquid pumps based on customer requirements and application needs.
• Prepare and develop quotations, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial competitiveness.
• Follow up on quotations and proactively convert opportunities into orders.
• Process customer orders and coordinate activities to ensure smooth delivery.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Work closely with customers, machine builders, and internal teams to develop customised pump solutions.
• Identify opportunities to expand business and improve customer satisfaction.

About the Role

We are looking for a technically minded and customer-focused Inside Sales Engineer - Pumps to join in Heteren. In this role, you will be at the heart of customer relationships, combining technical expertise, commercial skills, and strong organisational abilities to deliver excellent customer service and support the field sales team.

You will advise customers on technical pump solutions, select and calculate suitable liquid pumps, prepare quotations, follow up on sales opportunities, and process orders. As many pumps are assembled and customised to meet specific customer and process requirements, understanding customer needs and providing tailored technical solutions will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• MBO or HBO qualification, preferably in a technical or engineering-related discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience with pumps, particularly liquid pumps used in industrial applications and by machine builders.
• Experience in a technical-commercial sales role, ideally involving industrial pumps or related equipment.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, customer-oriented, and results-driven approach.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Ideally based in or around the East Antwerp region, with the ability to commute to the workplace in Heteren.
