Job summary

i2d consulting is seeking an experienced Innovation Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives within a broad innovation program. You will own one or more pillars such as Robotics, Make & Augmented Reality, Test & Advanced Analytics, and IIoT, and work with Development & Engineering and IT to drive end-to-end delivery from ideation to embedding.

Responsibilities cover initiation, planning, execution, and closure, with cross-functional collaboration across factories and business sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong experience in project management, innovation, technology, engineering, manufacturing or digital transformation.

• Define project setup and governance with clear objectives and scope.
• Develop high-level and detailed project plans, manage scope, time and cost.
• Collaborate with D&E, IT, internal stakeholders and external suppliers across factories and business sectors.
• Drive development of innovative solutions and products, including testing and piloting.
• Organize releases, handover and embedding of solutions; realize benefits and scale across factories.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Innovation Program Manager to take a leading role in realizing key initiatives within a strategic innovation program.

You will work closely with internal business sectors such as Development & Engineering (D&E) and IT, as well as external solution providers and suppliers. You will take ownership of the complete project lifecycle — from ideation and initiation through planning, execution, implementation, embedding and closure.

You will take ownership of one or more strategic pillars, including:

• Robotics
• Make & Augmented Reality
• Test & Advanced Analytics
• Logistics & IIoT

Together with the Project Manager, you will be end-to-end responsible for one or more strategic pillars — from ideation to successful implementation and embedding within the organization.

Project Initiation & Planning

• Define project setup, including the problem statement, objectives, scope and governance.
• Develop high-level and detailed project plans.
• Manage projects based on scope, time and cost.
• Align stakeholders across different workstreams, factories and business sectors.

Execution & Delivery

• Define factory requirements across different workstreams to deliver holistic solutions.
• Collaborate with D&E, IT, internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Monitor progress, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Drive the development of innovative solutions and products.
• Define test criteria and target objectives.
• Validate solutions through pilots, including shopfloor testing.
• Drive industrialization and full-scale implementation following customer acceptance.

Closure & Benefits Realization

• Organize releases and volume transfers within or across factories.
• Ensure successful handover and embedding of solutions into the organization.
• Drive benefit realization and ensure tangible business value is recognized by internal customers.
• Identify opportunities to scale existing innovation topics across multiple factories.
• Explore new applications and develop clear COMPANY use cases.
• Contribute to and drive the innovation roadmap.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong experience in project management, innovation, technology, engineering, manufacturing or digital transformation.
• Experience working in complex, cross-functional and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives from idea to implementation and embedding.
• Experience with one or more of the strategic technology areas is highly desirable: Robotics, Augmented Reality, Advanced Analytics, IIoT or Logistics.
