Job description

We are seeking a Global Manufacturing Engineer to lead a range of international initiatives focused on process innovation, multi‑site process standardisation, manufacturing digitisation, and the transfer of production across global operations.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Global Technical Operations & Engineering and is fully on‑site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with global strategic, technical, and operational manufacturing teams to optimise existing processes and introduce new advanced manufacturing solutions.
  • Partner closely with R&D and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure that operational and manufacturing requirements are clearly defined and successfully integrated into project execution.
  • Translate process and production needs into detailed machine and equipment specifications and work with both internal and external equipment suppliers to deliver solutions.
  • Apply strong oversight to supply chain considerations, including product lifecycle management.
  • Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, and problem‑solving activities. Represent manufacturing within global cross‑functional project teams and process development groups.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by overseeing validation and verification activities, including determining validation needs, developing protocols, executing testing, and analysing results.
  • Collaborate with local and global engineering teams to improve product quality, enhance productivity, and resolve manufacturing challenges through cost‑effective, scalable engineering solutions.
  • Adhere to all quality policies, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and applicable standards. Promptly identify and elevate any quality or compliance concerns and take necessary corrective actions.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible post‑degree experience in a relevant engineering or manufacturing role.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a regulated production or engineering environment (preferably medical device or closely related industries).
  • At least 5 years' experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in innovation, product or process development, testing, and qualification.
Travel & Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 15%.
  • Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.
Desirable Experience
  • Knowledge of equipment automation design and theory.
  • Background in manufacturing single‑use technologies for consumables and hardware (e.g., mixers, bioreactors).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, design for manufacturing, 5S, 3P, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and statistical tools.
