Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Commodity Buyer at our Eindhoven location to manage day-to-day purchasing of indirect materials and services. You will work across operations, supply chain, finance, quality and HSE to drive cost reductions and supplier performance.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office. Dutch and English fluency are required, with an emphasis on data-driven procurement and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing experience
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Dutch and English proficiency (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of Capex, MRO, Machinery, Facility Management
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of P2P process and best practices
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational purchasing activities for indirect materials and services.
• Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
• Negotiate local sourcing contracts and create/update contracts in SAP.
• Enter and follow up of orders in the SAP system.
• Supplier performance evaluation.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve timelines or quality issues.
• Assess suppliers’ products for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Collect purchasing data and provide reporting.
• Advise stakeholders on purchasing procedures.
