Job summary

Amazon Netherlands is seeking an ambitious Software Development Engineer Intern to help design, build, and operate scalable services. You’ll own the lifecycle of your code from design through deployment, while collaborating with Amazonians across teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

The internship runs full-time in the Netherlands, with mentorship, learning sessions, and opportunities to transition to graduate roles or additional internships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields.
• Experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of CS fundamentals: OOP, OS, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Break down complex problems into solvable components before implementation.
• Contribute to scalable, reliable services with distributed-systems scope varying by team.
