Job summary

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) seeks an experienced Impact Investment Manager to originate and assess debt investments in the agricultural sector across its member countries. You will lead due diligence, financial modelling and loan documentation while monitoring a growing portfolio.

Based in Amsterdam, the role works with a small team of impact investment and technical assistance professionals in a modern office. UN-grade compensation with tax-exempt salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years in financial or development environment, ideally in impact funds or development finance.
• Strong finance and credit analysis skills with accounting knowledge.
• Experience assessing SMEs in the agricultural sector and commodity value chains.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a strong pipeline of investment opportunities with focus on impact, risk and return.
• Lead the full deal execution cycle for trade finance and term loans, including due diligence, financial modelling, credit appraisal and documentation.
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of debt investments.
• Lead legal and commercial discussions from terms to legal agreements.
• Prepare internal and external reporting to evaluate transactions and portfolio performance.
